Summary
This is the second article of a series of three. After reviewing the history and main
groups of chemical carcinogens described in the first article, we will go on to look
at directly acting carcinogens and their mutagenic properties. The most important
group of direct carcinogens are the mustard compounds and it is from these that the
modern cytotoxic drugs evolved. We will consider the cytotoxic drugs in the light
of homœopathy and conclude with a look at the phenomenon of cocarcinogenesis.
